A Very lucky weekend for me

February 9, 2009 at 8:16 pm

Before a begin, lets have a moment of silence for those who lost their lives in Victoria…….May you all rest in peace.

This weekend for me has been so lucky its almost scary. This of course is not related to the bushfires, so what I mean by lucky is that I have never won so much in mahjong ^^”. On Sunday I played some Mahjong with Chibi, her sister Kerry and brother Mark. During the first round i ate a few small hands b4 it was my turn to be the Dealer, and it was then I kept eating Richi hands (some were rather big) and in the end I came first by quite alot. However Kerry had to leave so we ended that round there.

Now the 2nd round is where the show begins…hehe. Part 1 of the 2nd round the tides were turned, i actually lost so much that i only had around 1000pts remaining (36000 pts total), but just when i was about to lose, tides turned again! I ate an 18000 pt hand of Chibi….yum =P and then another 10000 of Mark, both really big hands and the round ended with me having 38000 pts. From there on, my luck was almost immeasurable (if it can be measured in the first place) I missed out on an opportunity to get ‘All greens’ hand which is ultra hard, then I missed another opportunity to get “all winds” hand which is equally hard and both hands are worth MAX pts (32000 each!) Having said all that….. I still managed to eat other HUGE hands a FEW times and within a few turns I clean sweeped both Chibi and Marks pts !!!!! this has never happened b4 and I certainly have not won so much in my life!! one of my hands was like “all ’1s and 9′s, Tui Tui, Dora 2, East wind bonus, Kong + Self drawn” which is a Bai man! and is worth 24000! (if I remembered correctly) O_O”

Sorry if that all meant nothing to you haha, pretty much all in a nutshell, I won a HELL of ALOT….Mahjong is such an interesting game ^^” too bad I dont win all the time and a few times came last with negative pts…so thats why I feel really lucky this weekend =).

Melbourne Trip 2009

January 10, 2009 at 11:50 am

From Jan 2nd – 8th, Chibi and i made a long journey down to Melbourne city. It was our first time travelling on our own independantly so at first i was a little nervous. However, with careful planning and research, everything went so smoothly that there were barely anything we had to worry about. That being said, we could not have enjoyed this trip much more than what we did =)

Melbourne is a great city, very modern yet old fashioned. They have lots of great food (and not so great…) great public transport and in general a very clean city with nice people. We explored Melbourne in all directions, visited all the greatest attractions and tasted their finest coffee. Cool lets check out some pictures.

Catching up…

December 31, 2008 at 11:36 am

Woah havent blogged in such a long time! and what a funny blog entry the one i wrote previously, did i really write that ? or was it a dream? lol.

Anyway to sum up whats happened, lets see where should i start…..

Christmas lights – as can be seen from chibi’s blog, this year there was a crazy house with lights worth over 10k and took 3 months to make! definitely worth seeing.

Chibi’s christmas party – very funny, lots of good and activities, too bad i was coughing…I remember i was coughing for one of chibi’s bday party as well, i think it was her 20th? now people think im always a sick person ~~”. Recieved only chocolates this year, but i did get this really cute mini silver guitar clock from chibi, sorry my reaction wasnt as big as it should, but what matters is the heart right? =) Too bad Somps wasnt able to make it due to receptional reasons. Looking forward to next years party already!

Hiroaki trying to translate Dissidia for me – Hiroaki came over to my place and he gave me some Zaku presents. during the day we tried to play Dissidia Final Fantasy and i was asking him alot of questions. He understood like everything from the menu’s to dialogue…….too bad he couldnt translate it back to english!! something i had feared from the beginning, lol but still we had a mad time playing the game. I took him to have steak as it was his first time…His expression was priceless.

Future1 NYE – as typing this entry, it is already NYE….how time flies…2008 was a year of difference, a very very productive year and some $ comming in. If i were to write a review this would take forever, maybe next entry!

Melbourne 2009! – Really looking forward to this trip, will be leaving on jan 2nd and chibi and i will be like Ash Catchem visiting lots of places and capturing lots of Poke- i mean pictures =P well i better start packing for a long journey awaits us!

Mitsuaki’s Bday party

December 14, 2008 at 9:50 pm

Mitsuaki organised his bday party at the Sharks hotel in the city. The good thing about this place is, its free lol, since its just a pub with massive space around it. But the place was actually quite nice, clean, friendly people around, great atmosphere and lots and lots of space!.

It was good to catch up with Mits, since we dont see each other very often these days, he’s the only person i know that works 7 days a week! give yourself a break dude.

I was also introduced to Hiroaki, Akiko and Kaori who are from Tokyo. Their background is quite interesting. Akiko use to make cakes in japan and she even admits they are very delicious, however she is so sick of making them now she doesnt wanna touch it again o.O”. Hiroaki shouted me drink, and then we started talking about gundams! haha we gota catch up again =P.  Kaori finished her beer before i even got half way ~~”. They were a very nice bunch of ppl.

Anyway, happy birthday to Mitsuaki! we gota have another jam session

BBQ at Auburn japanese gardens

November 1, 2008 at 10:58 pm

Alright, prepare to read the most *takes deep breath – intensively interestingly awsomely exciting blog entry!

Today Chibi’s mum organised a BBQ at (actually, more like outside of…) Auburn Japanese gardens. Along with Chibi’s family friends Lawrence and his mum and peggy, MZ, Ray and his ‘New’ gf Florence also came along. We were all a bit concerned about the weather because throughout the week, the predicted forcast for today changed from Cloudy -> possible thunderstorms -> possible showers…however, luckily it was only just a drizzle for like 5 minutes, other than that, it was extremely good weather =). Now firstly, i was about to show off my awsome cooking skills, but because i couldnt grab the tools in time, florence ended up cooking, and i just ended up watching besides her and thinking “hmm…whens the food ready ^^”…Shortly after that, MZ took over the cooking and i took over the eating, lol..and after that Kerry took over the cooking and by then i was already too full to eat anymore ^^”.

ahh thats better…

Chibi and i were like starving because we didnt eat anything for breakfast, we were happy to see this method cooks 10x faster than using aluminium foil…lol.

Did chibi and kerry just stab a bark through Marks head ??

MZ – A spoon goes really well with a cup…

The food was fantastic, meat really goes well with an empty stomach, although ray would not agree =P, but at least the salad was really nice wasnt it?  thumbs up for Chibis mum!

Afterwards, we went to the kids playground to um….play. We discovered the swing thing-o-magic that chibi was talking about was still there so we had TONS of fun on it.

then for some good old monkey bars..

and finally, us trying to be kids (very much like kids trying to be adults, lol)

Overall, it was a very fun day, good weather, good food, good company, it was nice to meet Florence. Cant wait to have another bbq ^^.

A wet hunter valley trip

October 6, 2008 at 9:45 pm

This long weekend (monday) my family and i attended a one day tour to Hunter Valley, a place with nothing but wines and flowers. Im not really into one day trips because it involves too much travelling in 1 day ~~. On the coach we spent around 2 hrs travelling there and my brother Alan and cousin Adam decided to play big2, for ’2‘ bloody hrs! seriously how can you play a card game for that long? o.O”

We stopped by Brooklyn for a tea break, and because i had nothing much to do, i decided to test out my camera…

Normal setting (looks a bit dark)

Video lighting white balance setting (not sure what this is used for lol)

Impressive grass, it looks like water

Cool garden minus the yucky water ^^”

My brother trying to do the dragonball fusion technique…with himself..lol

Here we have super raymond chan!

Some flower closeups

And finally, the snails! man they were everywhere, so disgusting, haha.

The day wouldve been much nicer if it wasnt raining, because i got a bit soaked and my some water went in my shoe…what an uncomfy feeling! also got a bit windy towards the end.

I hate walking in muddy grass…..full of snails!

glad thats over, haha
