Had a really good time on sunday doing nothing but having a nice relaxing fun photo session at Centennial Park with Chibi. These sessions are meant to be fun, adventurous, relaxing and a way for me to practice and learn more about photography.
I’m really fortunate to have such a nice pretty girlfriend to be my model =). Although sometimes photography can be about capturing unexpected moments, this time I tried to take my time and really think about putting the shot together. I’m still really slow at composing a good shot so hopefully with more practice my shots can be quicker yet sharp.
Here’re some shots we took on the day:
Need to improve on minimizing the midday harsh shadows. Might try out the flash as a fill light next time to see if that works better. Lot’s of experimenting to do.
Here’s an HDR attempt at Darling Harbour. This was taken by hand holding but I think it is absolutely necessary to have a tripod. Good thing for auto exposure bracketing and the 60D’s snappy burst rate. Need more practice with HDR’s as they’re quite fun if done correctly =)
And finally we finish the day at Pancakes. We were starving by then. All in all it was a really fun and productive day. Can’t wait to go on another one of these day trips =)

Nice photos =)! Last Sunday, MZ and I spent the afternoon playing basketball. One of the dudes accidentally elbowed MZ in the face. Very similar to a day in the park (^-^)<3.
Yikes, hope MZ is ok, get that tooth back in place!
