Probably one of the best performances ive ever seen in my life. Trick after trick, i wonder to myself – “how the hell did he do that?”. Now i consider myself a pretty scientific person, even so, i still cant find ways to apply science principles to his tricks.
Today, I went to watch David copperfield’s show and since magic is best seen up close, i thought it’d be best to buy the Gold tickets, and so we were RIGHT UP close to the stage. It was worth it though trust me, sitting at the top of the Acer arena would be pretty pointless considering the cheapest tickets are still at $120 each.
But anyway, the show totally lived up to my expectations. I dont want to describe all his tricks so i’ll quickly note down what tricks he did –
- Appeared on stage inside box with motorcycle
- Passed through a solid sheet of metal
- shrinks himself in a box
- does the rabbit trick but with a duck
- predicting numbers
- Dancing ties
- Brings massive car onto stage
- walks through giant fan
- Scorpian card trick
- Vanishes real audience!
Dont worry if u dont know what the tricks are, its mainly for my own personal memories. I have to say though, one of the most amazing tricks is he randomly selects 13 people in the audience by throwing giant balls that bounces around and the ones that catches it will be selected, so its 100% random. He then brings them on to the stage, seated inside a box and each handed a torch to reveal to the audience that they are indeed inside. As they were all seated, Copperfield raises the box into the air and then magically, he waves his hands, a sound clicks, the lights dissappear, the curtains raise, and those 13 people? vanished….and then instantly, they appear at a door at the back of the center which is hundreds of meters away. It may sound bizarre to you and you may think, “thats bullcrap, theres probably something u didnt see in the setup” well like i said, Seeing David Copperfield is believing…Whatever he does, that is…
hahha yesh, it was amazing *_* If only we were one of the 13 people chosen..then we would know the secret to “disappearing” to the back of the center! XD Must say though.. the strictly “over 18 and must speak English” rule is a bit fishy! Maybe they can’t have kids cause they’ll make a fuss/too much noise/not listen to given instructions to secretly run away in the back.

yeah, i wish i was chosen >< we almost got chosen for the prediction one as well... Oh well, like u said, sometimes its better not to know, leaves it feeling mysterious and special. Glad u like it =)
