To celebrate my 22nd Birthday, i took off with my uni buddies for an awsome fishing trip. We met up at good old albion street at 2 before we all hopped into my Kia and drove to Watsons Bay. In the car, burpy and markuz were talking about the nba playoffs, not sure whether it was just general chatting or just trying to annoy me, but what remains a fact is the Lakers are a dirty team with a dirty coach =P Yao know what i Ming?
Anyway, once we arrived we went to find a good spot to settle down. Didnt know the walk would be so tough for some people cough* chibi/emily cough* I had to accompany chibi as we trekked through the rocky shores. We would have to stop every 2 minutes to study the rocks on the ground and figure out whats the best way (for chibi) to step accross the rocks, but we eventaullly made it, but i find it funny how the girls are so slow ^^”.
We then went to set up our rods and chose a spot to start off. I was teaching MZ and burpy how to set up and cast the rod, halil already knew and he started on his own. My teaching was marvelous, too bad we chose the wrong spot and 7/10 the line would get stuck to the sea rocks….which sux. Ray Emily and flora were enjoying themselves in a picnic sort of area and we were too busy fishing. Soon we changed locations and we chose a less rockier place to cast. This was where the fun started, yes we started feeling the bites and nibbles! Halil was the first to catch a um….fish (i dunno fish names  ^^”) but it was a palm size so he threw it back in. I mean a catch is a catch so we were getting more excited. Shortly after that, Jono caught the fish of the day, a 20-30cm ish (something) fish! man that was a good catch, we placed it inside a little rock pond so it can stay alive and swim around. I was very excited so i didnt wait any longer and started casting myself, and to my surprise i got one rather quickly, a halil sized something fish! yay, i caught something ^^Y. I didnt want to throw it back in so i placed in the pond so it can swim with jonos fish. (man the other guys are missing the fun lol). Somps, jono, burpy, halil, chibi, mz and i were competing for a better fish. Later i caught another one, and we all threw those puny fishes in the pond and it soon became a little aquarium.
Chibi also wanted to give it a go, so i started teaching her. She had some trouble with the casting so we did it together. After a few tries we finally got a hook on! i was telling chibi “hurry and reel it!” and shes like “ehh? whats reeling?” lol *sweatdrop….eventually we both managed to reel it in together and we successfully caught a fish together! Chibi’s first ever fish, im sure shes happy =) (chucks it into pond). It was getting dark so we started packing up, and i have to mention this! Burpy tried to jump accross a large gap and he almost fell into the water! lol cant forget that moment….Mz took some nice snaps of the moon too.
After fishing we went to Bite Me burgers for some giant burgers and chips….Ahh theres nothing like burgers after fishing. Ray commented “jacky, can life get any better? Friends, Burgers, nba on TV, and girfriend sitting next to you” lol man i cant argue with that =P, you guys made my day. After our burgers, chibi prepared a white chocolate mudcake for me and after that we were all very full. Didnt do much afterwards so we decided to call it a day.
I went home to open my gigantic present…and i cant believe it, what the hell? what is this?…………….its ummm……….its errrrrr……….its hmm……….its so awsome!! just what i needed! Now i can enjoy a state of the art Shiatsu massage after i finish going to the gym everytime! Thanks alot guys! i will definitely make good use of it =)
